Our Admissions Policy and Application for Enrolment Form will open on Monday the 2nd of November 2026

Application and Decision Dates for admission to 2027/2028
The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants:
The school will commence accepting applications for admission on Monday 2nd November 2026
The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on Friday 27th November 2026
The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is Friday 12th March 2027
The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is Friday 19th March 2027
Note: applications made after the 27th November 2026 will be processed as late applications, the school will consider
and issue decisions on late applications in accordance with the school’s admission policy.
Failure of an applicant to accept an offer by Friday 19th March 2027 may result in the offer being withdrawn.
Other Year Groups Application and Decision Dates for admission to 2027/28
The following are the dates applicable for admission to other year groups (Senior Infants to 6th class)
The school will commence accepting applications for admission on Monday 2nd November 2026
The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on Friday 27th November 2026
The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is Friday 12th March 2027
The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is Friday 19th March 2027
Number of places being made available in 2027/28
The number of places being made available in Junior Infants: 12
The number of places being made available in other year groups is: 11 based on individual class availability.
Section 62 of the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018
Newtownwhite ETNS has accepted applications for places prior to the commencement
of Section 62 of the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018 which commenced on 1st February 2020.
The number of those places offered and accepted for Junior Infants for 2027/2028 is: 0
Junior Infants places offered (deferred from 2026/27): 0
Junior Infants Applications received and on waiting list prior to 1st February 2020: 0
